The Philippine Delegation, headed by PH NatCom Secretary General Lila Ramos Shahani, attended the 11th Session of the Committee in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from November-December 2016. Primary task of the meeting was to review fifty international nominations for inscription in the 2003 Convention’s Lists: the Representative List, the Urgent Safeguarding List, and the Register of Best Practices. Our participation will hopefully strengthen our ability to nominate and protect our country’s intangible cultural heritage.
