The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) cordially invites you to a webinar on new partnerships in education governance during COVID-19.

Many of the 173 UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities (GNLC) members around the world have had to quickly adapt local educational provision due to the coronavirus. With the sudden closure of schools, adult education institutions and community learning centers, a surge in online and distance learning, and now the partial reopening of education institutions in some contexts, cities and traditional learning providers have forged new partnerships with other stakeholders, including online learning providers and other businesses and organizations with digital resources at their disposal. As a result, the governance of education is changing in cities worldwide.

In order to exchange insights, practical approaches, and good practices, members of the UNESCO GNLC are convening a webinar organized by UIL on Wednesday 20 May 2020 to show how, in a short space of time, new partnerships in education governance have emerged. All education stakeholders, UNESCO GNLC member cities and non-members are invited to join the online event, share their experiences, and learn from each other.

Please note that the webinar will be held in English.
